In addition to internal payment plan options, Federal Financial Aid and Sallie Mae® Student Loans, there are many scholarship opportunities available to our students. In general, students must be currently enrolled in school prior to applying for these scholarships. Below is a list of reputable scholarship programs affiliated with the cosmetology industry. AIP does not endorse and is not affiliated with any of these foundations. Visit www.fastweb.com, a scholarship search engine that will help you find scholarships that may be available to you.

The Joe Francis Haircare Scholarship Foundation -- $1,000

  • Completed scholarship application
  • Awarded in September of each year
  • One-page essay
  • Sponsor information and his or her letter of recommendation 

AHBAI Fred Luster, Sr. Education Foundation -- up to $500.00

  • To be eligible for a scholarship, students must have an 85 percent or higher average in school and must have completed a minimum of 300 hours. Extracurricular activities, attendance records and previous competitions/awards will also be taken into consideration.

Sally Beauty Supply Scholarships
-- $1,000

  • Five scholarships to high school graduates, under the age of 26, desiring to enter the cosmetology profession.
  • Three scholarships to current NCA members for continuing education in the field of cosmetology.
  • Two scholarships to the children or grandchildren of current NCA members for their use in pursuing advanced education at the college level.

NCEA Esthetician Scholarship -- $1,000

  • Esthetician students will be eligible to receive a $1,000 scholarship while attending school. These incentive scholarships will be awarded to students that demonstrate good performance in school as well as financial need.
  • A 250-word typed essay of the applicant's financial situation, and their desire to become an esthetician will determine the Scholarship Winner. Applicants must have enrolled and begun classes in an esthetician only training program by the application deadline and maintain at least 80% attendance and 80% grade average.
  • Fill out form, attach a short typed explanation of your financial need, as well as your desire to receive the scholarship, and mail to NCEA, P. O. Box 484 Spring Avenue, Ridgewood, NJ 07451-0484.
